How to Be a Human is a devised theatre project in which young folks and their elders unite to create a handy theatrical guide to being a happy human. Topics include: falling in love, facing one’s own mortality, and our moral responsibility to one another.
We are going out into the world and interviewing our elders. Then, those interviews will be transformed into live theatre by some of the interviewees themselves, professional actors, and your two intrepid co-directors–Melanie St. Ours and Ali Miller.
There are all kinds of ways that YOU– yes YOU–can be a part of the art, blog reading human. We have structured the project to be interactive every step of the way. As things move along, we hope that you will share great interview questions, referrals to interesting interviewees, good fundraising ideas, etc. Many etceteras.
In short: the success of the project depends on good ideas and we know you have them. Won’t you please bring a little democracy to this art and share when inspiration strikes?
